The Wellshot Hotel had everything we were looking for in a country pub. After a drink on the lovely back verandah, a hot shower and a great meal, we staggered into our very comfortable beds for a great night's sleep. In the morning we had coffee from the cafe and the kids fed the animals. Tracy is a great hostess - very friendly and welcoming. I regretted that earlier in our trip we stayed in Longreach - we could have stayed here - Longreach is just down the road after all! And what's not to love about Ilfracombe? The Machinery Mile, the Artesian Spa, The folk museums, The Twelve Mile, The Wellshot Hotel - Brilliant!

Outback experience in a traditional Pub. The room was great with a historical feel and setting. The staff and other patrons were very friendly and helpful. Very good value for those on a budget.

Best pub in western Queensland. Top food. Friendly efficient bar staff. Locals and tourists enjoy the atmosphere and cool refreshing beverages. Clean and heritage which do not always go together either.

Where do I start? What an incredible outback Aussie pub. So much character and style. This has to be on a bucket list of outback Aussie pubs to visit. So glad I did. Staff were really friendly and the beer was cold...

Had an enjoyable evening here Some poetry reading a great meal good beer and good company also. The decor is interesting. You must hyave a go at pinniung your money to the ceiling. It is a fundraiser for the historical society and Angel Flight. I had a go and was happy to leave a $20 note up there Good fun.

Friendly staff and locals, great service and atmosphere, well priced and clean accommodation! The publican was super friendly and we just loved the animals out the side of the pub. We called in for a beer on our way to Isa Rodeo and ended up staying the night, then returned on our drive home!! See you next time for sure!!
